On October 14-16, one of the greatest MotoGP events takes place at Phillip Island in Australia; The Iveco Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2011.
With a history of delivering the very best that MotoGP offers, this event is bound to push your excitement levels to the limit. Some of the greatest riders will be on their steel stallions accelerating their way to the finish line, all vying to stand atop one of the most sought after podiums on the world circuit. With the likes of Rossi, Stoner, Perdrosa and Lorenzo on the grid, you’ll feel every twist and turn as history unfolds.
Riders come from miles around galloping their own steel horses to the event. One of my mates rides with his entire family – mother and father taking the Harley cruiser and the three brothers all on Ducati’s ride 2,000kms to the event for the time of their life.
So in true tribute to this incredible event, clicked at almost 320km/h, this action charged weekend requires a timeless styling that only motorcyclists can appreciate, as well as the worldwide MSP gents.
The New Icon
Leave it to Ralph Lauren to make a version of the military classic authentic. All the details of craftsmanship are there, naturally it’s been perfectly pre-distressed for your liking. Commence crafting your ‘family legacy’ narrative now.
Originally created for motorcycle sports riders, moto-jackets have been increasingly popular for years. Go figure; the clean design of a ban collar and throat snap can adapt to the aesthetic of many a top designer. Here we have the Belstaff Blouson Mens’ Icon jacket and the Sports chic motorcycle jacket in tan.
Levi’s have always been on my radar and they deliver as usual the basic, classic and stylish leather jacket. When men first started wearing leather jackets, it wasn’t for style – but for protection. Levi’s jacket is made of mustang horse front leather will protect you from anything.
The Brad Jacket
Brad Pitt in his iconic movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button exuded style playing a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences. Belstaff, owned by the Italian designer family, captured Brad’s true styling essence and dressed him in A grade leather as he rode his motorcycles looking like a rebel with a heart.
Never More ‘In’
These leather variations on these jackets are very popular right now; and with good reason. This kind of slick design makes almost anyone look good. Plus the styles are timeless.
