Fashion Week Festivals all over the world have truly been inspiring as they increase the visibility of their menswear runway presentations.
The British Fashion Council announced tonight that LONDON COLLECTIONS: MEN (we’re not sure about those capitals) will run for the first time from Friday June 15 to Sunday June 17, 2012.
Run by a committee headed by GQ Editor Dylan Jones that includes Tom Ford, Christopher Bailey, David Furnish, Mr Porter’s Jeremy Langmead and Tim Blanks of Style.com, the new event will include menswear shows and presentations – as well as a ‘cultural program’. Quite what that means is unclear – maybe an Elton concert? – but what’s certain is that the new arrangement will be infinitely superior to things as they currently stand.
At the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, which commenced last night with a Gala Event hosted by the State Government of Victoria, lies a loyalty to this very important category, which services the need of gents who take pride in their attire and overall image.
MenStylePower has seen a change in organisers’ perception over the years with the growing demand for accessible and tailored product catering to the men’s market.
Modeaparis.com is the Federation responsible for Paris Fashion Week. In line with the global demand, MenStylePower has seen the rise again, of the men’s category with the introduction of new designers alongside long standing fashion houses.
Fashion shows, much to the contrary of common perception, is a festival of all things relevant. Welcomes by the council in order, applaud to new up and coming designers and innovators, independent runways from artistic and clever new-comers, cultural programs that introduce visitors to the city hosting the event, social and environmental innovations – showing care towards the earth, and forums that speak on challenging issues in the industry to business owners.
In Paris this year, you’ll be seeing the following menswear designers dedicated to bringing new and refreshing collections to the market. The Paris Menswear Fashion Show will be held in the most romantic city on the planet from the 27th June – 1 July. Not only are these designers rock solid in terms of impressive collections, but many have included menswear in their designs for decades.
Here is last season’s schedule, which is more than likely to be repeated for 2012 – happy browsing.
Menstylepower encourage you to view these designers for your own education and MOSTLY to see what affiliates with you. Everyone has their own style, and sense of self. If you know who you are, then go ahead and browse, if you’re still seeking that inner YOU, then have a friend browse with you, to get further opinion on others see as being the most confident and stylist you.
